Continuing on to the French side through Terres Basses, or Lowlands, home to some of the more exclusive villas on the island, we will drive through the lovely waterfront town of Marigot, where there are chic boutiques and a local open-air Creole Marketplace along the Blvd. De France. Leaving the town of Marigot and past the lush green valley of Colombier, Mt. Paradise, the highest point on the island, and the quaint little village of Grande Case, we arrive at the famous Orient Bay, a stop will be offered at Wai Plage for the guests to swim and have lunch. They will have beach chairs, umbrellas and access to the same menu options (chicken/fish/ribs with rice/fries/sweet potato fries and small side salad). On leaving the beach there will be a drive through the French Quarter and the village of Orleans, this was the original settlement on French St. Martin and while it has changed over the years it still retains much of its old atmosphere and character.
