From the quay, your tour heads northeast, passing the Samnangerfjord. You continue towards Kvamskogen, a popular holiday and weekend destination of Bergen residents. The cottages, ("huts" in Norwegian), nowadays are far more comfortable than the word implies. Before you reach the Hardangerfjord, make a stop at the Steinsdalsfossen waterfall. It falls away from the cliff, enabling you to walk along a protected path behind the roaring waters. Then re-board the bus for the quick drive to Norheimsund.
