Start your day by meeting your guide and accessible van at the St. Lucia cruise dock. First, you’ll set out on a beautiful scenic island drive through banana plantations and beautiful mountain views, before making a stop in Anse La Raye, a small, charming fishing village to the far western side of the island right next to Castries. In Anse La Raye, you will exit the van by the small center square to get out and explore firsthand. Take a stroll down the small pier, meet local fishermen and see what they caught for the day, make your way around the charming little city streets with traditional small cottages, and visit the beautiful old cathedral from the early 16th century. As your tour continues to the city of Soufriere, you will make several photo stops along the way. Not only is St. Lucia lush and rich in produce, it is a volcanic island which provides some amazing views, including the Pitons. While the Pitons volcano site is not wheelchair accessible, one can still see them from afar and capture some beautiful photos. In the popular Diamond Botanical Garden, your tour guide will take you on a spectacular stroll while sharing all that he knows about the fauna and produce of the island. The path in the garden is accessible with no steps or steep inclines. As you near the end of the Gardens, the path transitions into an adventurous gravel trail for the final two minutes. A scenic drive through the winding streets will take you up Old Fort Road and top Roundabout up to the parish of St David, where plantations of Cocoa and other Spices can be seen as your driver describes the scenes in his lilting island accent. Visit the Laura Herb and Spice Garden filled with trees, plants and green grassy fields, treat your taste buds to a range of herbs and spices in over 6.5 acres(2.6ha) of garden. Learn about spices, their uses, what they look like in their natural state and about old remedies with your guide. Find cocoa, cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, turmeric and Tonka beans. Complete your tour by heading to the gift shop, where you can purchase herbs and spices to take home and use in your own cooking. Continue to the central part of the island to Grand Etang where you can view the Grand Etang Lake. This cobalt blue lake lies in the crater of an extinct volcano, a breathtaking 1,900 feet above sea level. Enjoy a refreshing drink at the Visitor Center. The descent brings you past magnificent hanging carpets of green mountain fern, and through the quaint village of Vendome to Annandale. Disembark the coach for a short, walk to a green paradise of rushing water and hanging ferns. You'll see some of Grenada's 450 species of flowering and medicinal plants here. Continue to Fort Frederick, 800 feet above sea level. This vantage point offers a panoramic view of the horseshoe-shaped harbor, Fort George, the picturesque city and Richmond Hill Prisons. The construction of Fort Frederick was started by the French in 1779, and finished by the English in 1783. Return to the St George's pier via Lowther's Lane.

Discover why George Washington resided on Barbados for about seven weeks in 1751, and tour the two-story home where he lived. Preserved by the Barbados National Trust and located within the the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Historic Bridgetown, the home is filled with interesting artefacts of the time. Learn how the knowledge he gained from his visit would come to serve him well as the commander in chief in the American war for independence, and later as the first president of The United States. There your awaiting boat will take you on an enjoyable ride through the North Sound mangroves en route to Great Bird Island, one of Antigua’s best snorkeling locations. Great Bird Island is a 20-acre islet lying about three kilometers northeast of Antigua. Visitors regard it as a desert island dream. Named by sailors amazed at the birds living and nesting there, Great Bird Island is a miniature paradise. White-sand beaches at either end of the sandbar are the main attraction. You will receive snorkeling instruction before you put on your mask, fins, and buoyancy vest and snorkel with expert guides in the crystal-clear waters. Or you can simply swim or relax and soak up the sun on the beach. We will hike a hilltop trail for wonderful views of the outlying islands and Antigua. It’s ideal for spotting migrating whales (December to May), sea turtles, and many varieties of birds that nest here year-round. Bring binoculars! While it is best known for its two superb beaches and surrounding coral reefs, this area is also the only place you may see an Antiguan racer in the wild. They are about 20 cm long, non-venomous, and harmless. It is also home to a variety of endangered creatures including exotic red-billed tropicbirds, brown pelicans, rare lizards, West Indian whistling ducks, and the magnificent frigatebird (man o’ war bird). Guests will be greeted at the ship and escorted to their private A/C transportation. Leaving the town of Philipsburg, past the Great Salt Pond, for which the island was named, and over to Simpsons Bay Lagoon, winter anchorage for many of the world’s largest mega-yachts. A stop at a view point is offered on the way to Maho Beach, home to the “infamous” you tube videos of planes landing and taking off above your head. Continuing on to the French side through Terres Basses, or Lowlands, home to some of the more exclusive villas on the island, we will drive through the lovely waterfront town of Marigot, where there are chic boutiques and a local open-air Creole Marketplace along the Blvd. De France. Leaving the town of Marigot and past the lush green valley of Colombier, Mt. Paradise, the highest point on the island, and the quaint little village of Grande Case, we arrive at the famous Orient Bay, a stop will be offered at Wai Plage for the guests to swim and have lunch. Please note that this is the same restaurant as our Orient Beach with Lunch SMZ9 tour. They will have beach chairs, umbrellas and access to the same menu options (chicken/fish/ribs with rice/fries/sweet potato fries and small side salad). On leaving the beach there will be a drive through the French Quarter and the village of Orleans, this was the original settlement on French St. Martin and while it has changed over the years it still retains much of its old atmosphere and character. Then it’s back to Philipsburg and the ship.
