Spend the day exploring one of the most pivotal places in WWII history — the landing beaches in Normandy — on this emotional, moving and unforgettable tour. Join a small group of no more than seven guests, along with your English-speaking driver/guide, in paying tribute to those who stormed the beaches to secure an Allied foothold in Europe. Stop at Omaha Beach, where one of the first two bridgeheads of American troops landed. Stand before Pointe du Hoc, the 100-foot cliffs climbed by Rangers amid a hail of gunfire. Tour the American Cemetery of Colleville, plus see where an artificial port was purpose-built for the landing. Make a stop at Pegasus Bridge, where British paratroopers landed the night before D-Day. These main sites of the landing beaches will be visited; however, you can see other points of interest should there be enough time.
