See some of Nassau’s most historic points of interest. Tour in air-conditioned comfort on a two-hour coach ride, taking you to Rawson and Parliament Squares, the Queen’s Staircase, Government House and more. You’ll first pass through Rawson Square to the city’s legislative center, where you can’t miss the Houses of Parliament, a peachy-pink collection of buildings with bright green shutters. Then you’ll see Fort Montagu — the Battle of Nassau was fought there, the first successful amphibious assault by the fledgling U.S. Marine Corps during the American Revolutionary War. Next drive by the Queen’s Staircase, 66 steps carved by slaves out of solid coral rock. Your journey continues passing other sites such as Government House, a beautiful, pink Georgian mansion where the governor-general lives, as well as the nearby Graycliff Hotel, an elegant colonial mansion. A stop at the Rum Cake Factory is included where you can taste one of Nassau's favorite dessert.
