Combine a true nature experience with an eco-friendly and healthy way to see Stavanger. Nordic walking is a 'total body' experience, using specially-designed walking poles adapted to each participant. The technique is easy to learn; during your tour you'll get a unique workout that uses most of the body's muscles. After receiving your walking poles, begin your guided Nordic walk through the city center, towards Godalen. Located on the Storhaug peninsula, this is a popular trail for local residents and the perfect area for Nordic walking. Stretching for almost 2 miles, this coastal walk will take you from one small harbor to another. The trail runs in open countryside right beside the fjord and offers a fantastic view over the Gandsfjord and the mountains beyond. You'll also pass lovely beaches, as well as large rocky headlands protruding into the fjord. Relax in a peaceful outdoor area, where you'll feast on one of Norway's best-loved and simple culinary treats. As you walk back toward the pier, continue along the Blue Promenade, a pretty path which circles the harbor.
