Enjoy a 4.5-hour, fully guided trip that includes a walking tour of Drobak's town center, plus free time to shop in the famous Julehus Christmas House before exploring Vigeland Sculpture Park back in Oslo. As you follow a local guide around the charming town of Drobak, you'll learn about its location along the Oslofjord and the German military boat that sunk offshore during World War II. Traipse through the Sentrum city center and along the boat-filled Husvik harbor, passing small wooden houses built in the 1700s and galleries that showcase the town's thriving art scene. You'll then have about 90 minutes of free time to shop for souvenirs or lunch on Norwegian cuisine. Be sure to stop in the Julehus, Scandinavia's only permanent Christmas shop, where a collection of candles, ornaments and festive houseware are sold, and letters written to Santa Claus are collected each year. Upon your return in Oslo you'll take a guided walk through the outdoor Vigeland Sculpture Park to view more than 200 sculptures in bronze, granite and wrought iron. All the pieces were made by Gustav Vigeland and it's the world's largest sculpture park highlighting works created by a single artist.
