Start the day with a relaxing scenic drive from the port, along Frigate Bay, to the top of Timothy Hill. See spectacular views of both the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, as St. Kitts’s southeast peninsula stretches before you with a view of Nevis towering in the background. Continue to the sandy beach at Friars Bay, where an expert kayak guide will offer basic lessons or a refresher course in kayaking, based on your level of experience. Paddle your kayak along Friars Bay to a sheltered cove nestled under the steep mountain terrain, populated withs wild monkeys and goats. Don snorkeling gear and set off with your guide to explore the undersea home of colorful starfish, sea urchins, and a rainbow of tropical reef fish. (If you are lucky, you may even get to see one of the bay’s resident sea turtles or stingrays.) After you have completed your snorkeling tour, re-board your two-person kayak for the approximately 20-minute paddle back to launch site—the perfect place for a well-deserved rest. Fresh fruit juices and tasty island packaged snacks are prepared for you to enjoy, on your drive back to port to satisfy your hunger. You can swim and enjoy beach time and return idependantly to the ship. Guests who decline the return transportation will be responsible for getting back to the ship.
