Excellent photograph opportunities along the way, Lake Omapere, formed by an ancient lava flow, the fabulous 262-foot 1915 railway tunnel – turn your lights on for that one! You'll enjoy the gentle gradient and smooth surface of the trail, built on an old rail corridor, suited to most abilities. An enjoyable way to get out amongst it in the beautiful Northland fresh air and experience one of the regions attractions.
