Glide across a Ketchikan rainforest canopy on a thrilling zipline, 4x4 Unimog and auto-belay expedition. Departing from the cruise pier, journey approximately 30 minutes to Herring Cove nestled within the Tongass National Forest, home to abundant wildlife like bald eagles and black bears. Then take a short scenic ride in a custom 4x4 vehicle up a steep hillside, where professionally trained guides will equip you with safety gear and lead you to the activity course. This exhilarating and safety-first adventure combines 9 zipline flights (totaling more than 2,400 feet of high-tension cable) connecting 9 tree platforms, plus a finishing auto-belay element. Ascend up to 100 feet above the forest floor for a bird's-eye view of the rainforest and the various nature trails (including, season-depending, salmon spawning in the creek below). Once back on the ground, receive an achievement medal, view your photographs, and shop in the General Store. Time permitting, relax with a coffee or cold Alaskan beer, explore a Tsimshian totem park, learn about indigenous traditions, and tour the historic Fleenor Sawmill.
