Relax on a 45-minute drive into the countryside en route to Ocana, a hillside commune known for its cobbled, red tile-roofed homes and pleasant remote setting. Upon arrival you'll first step inside Maison des Senteurs, a distillery where the Caux Brothers have produced essential oils and cosmetic products for over 20 years. Explore their international brand, learning about how they use native trees and plants to create 13 different organic oils that are used for fragrances and natural healing purposes. Then breathe in the outdoor essence of Le Jardin des Abeilles, a honey farm run by beekeepers Denis and Nancy Casalta since 2000. Set along the Prunelli River, this bee farm's 400 hives yields six varieties of honey. Take a walk through the flower-lined pathways, learning about bee behavior, before sampling an assortment of sweet honeys made onsite. Pick up some souvenir jars in the gift shop before enjoying a lovely drive back to the pier.
