Destination Highlight: Scenic Konavle Valley Wineries by Road Train

Enjoy a comfortable motor coach ride from the port to the Konavle countryside, nicknamed the "golden valley of Dubrovnik," and often likened to Italy's Tuscany due to its rich cultural history and multiple vineyards. You'll first stop at Brajkovici village for a vineyard tour and wine tasting, then hop aboard the tourist road train that will take you through the wine country. As you tour the village of Ljuta, where you'll see the remnants of an old mill and its waterwheel that once powered the mill where flour was produced, and a little further on you'll see the traditional craft of wool processing. As the train moves on through the beautiful countryside, you'll visit three different wineries, meeting the families who own and run them, tasting their wines, and enjoying a ploughman-style lunch of bacon, hard boiled eggs, and onions, served in the customary manner of the folks who labored in the fields.
