Venture outside the city into the Rocky Mountains of Montserrat and discover one of Spain’s most inspiring attractions, the Benedictine Monastery of Montserrat. Founded in the 11th century and set amid a protected natural setting, it’s home to some 50 monks who gladly welcome guests. They are the latest to serve the shine in a history of active monastic life dating back over 1,000 years. Faithful come from near and far to pray to the sacred “La Moreneta” or Black Madonna. Finished the Montserrat visit, you will have lunch in the Montserrat Restaurant before reboarding the coach and returning to Barcelona. The way back to Barcelona, you will enjoy a panoramic drive through Passeig de Gracia, Plaça Catalunya, Casa Batlló, Casa Milà. Before return to the ship, you will have the external visit of the Sagrada Familia.
