Upon departing the pier, your air-conditioned transportation will drive through Georgetown, the capital of the Cayman Islands, where your experienced driver/guide will point out various sights and points of interest, at the start of your narrated Grand Cayman Sightseeing tour. After a short drive, you will arrive at the wonderful National Art Gallery of the Cayman Islands and the carefully manicured Sculpture Garden! Enjoy browsing the latest art exhibit which is all created by local artists and artisans. Your Guide will provide you with a tour of the latest collection in the comfort of the air-conditioned galleries. Following which, feel welcome to explore the sculpture gardens with the numerous creative sculptures, including seats that have been carved out of stone… There is also a cafe and gift shop on site, where locally created arts and crafts may be purchased. Once back onboard the bus, enjoy the short drive to the creatively designed and developed “New Urbanism” town centre of “Camana Bay”, where the architecture, ambiance, landscaping and design will catch your attention no mater where you look… Here you will have the opportunity to climb to the top of the Observation Tower, via it’s intricate double helix stairway.. Take in sights of Cayman’s wonderland beneath the seas, depicted on the walls of the Observation Tower, with the most incredible Venetian Glass Tile Mosaic, which took a team of Italian artisans several months to install the hundreds of thousands of individual colored glass tiles to complete the mural… At the bottom of the tower, you will find images of plant and marine life that one would expect to find at a depth of 75ft in the waters off of Grand Cayman.. the higher you climb, so you will find the difference in the various fish and marine life right up and till you reach the top, where you will be rewarded with panoramic views of the island and surrounding waters.. There are seating areas located at different levels and for those with mobility challenges, there is an elevator attached to the Observation Tower that will also stop at various levels for ease of access. After taking in the sights of both the wonderful Observation Tower and carefully curated surroundings, it will be time to re-board your awaiting transportation for the short drive to a local venue to experience a Mixology demonstration given by the in house Mixologist and sample up to three cocktails of your choice together with tasting a selection of snacks and two Tacos from the menue before heading back to the Cruise Tender Port, where optional shopping and further exploration awaits!
