Unlock your inner seafarer during this in-depth tour of marine and safety areas onboard our vessel. While our traditional “Inside Access: Behind-the-Scenes Ship Tour” includes hotel areas like the galley and laundry room, this tour focuses exclusively on the areas that power, navigate, and keep our vessel safe, with an extended visit to the Bridge and several areas exclusive to this tour. First, meet the Chief Engineer or their senior engine officer in the Engine Control Room. This room powers all the critical systems of the ship, from its course and speed to the ship’s electricity and air-conditioning. Discover where fuel is stored and how the heat and noise are kept away from other areas. Next, meet the Environmental Officer on a visit to the ship’s recycling facility. You'll learn how all types of waste are separated and recycled and get a behind-the-scenes look at the sustainability practices that we employ at Celebrity. Then, join our Safety Officer or Deputy Safety Officer as you move to the Lifesaving Appliances. Here you will learn how the ship’s lifeboats or Marine Evacuation Systems function in the event of an emergency. You will also learn what's stored on lifeboats – from flares to food to fishing kits – to keep guests safe, energized, and in good spirits in the event of an emergency. Continue to the mooring station where you will be joined by a senior officer and see first-hand where the heavy-duty ropes, winches and bollards used for docking and anchoring our ship are stored. This is where the action happens during arrival and departure. Finally, you are invited to tour the ship's navigation and command center: the bridge. Here, the senior officer will provide an in-depth tour of the bridge and its tools, including the ship’s radar, electronic charts, communication systems, and steering wheel. Please note that there will be multiple security checks during this tour given that you will be visiting the ship’s most sensitive areas.
