Savor the flavors of Valencia during a four-hour sightseeing excursion that begins with a stop at the 86,000-square-foot Mercado Central, or Central Market (closed on Sunday, only outside view). Then, it’s on for a visit at a "horchateria," a café that serves the frosty drink known as "horchata.". Opposite the market sits the UNESCO-recognized La Lonja, or Old Silk Exchange. First stop for a snack: cold cuts, cheese, olives, and wine in a local “Tapas” bar in the center of Valencia. From there, you’ll travel to a local taberna for a sampling of Valencian specialties such as tapas and "pinchos" (snacks that are usually spiked with a toothpick on a piece of bread). As your culinary adventure comes to an end you’ll begin your return to your ship. En route, you’ll pass by the City of Arts and Sciences complex, home of the Oceanographic, Europe’s largest aquarium. The order of the stops can be changed according to the tour itinerary and space availability.
