Destination Highlight: Tipperary, Rock of Cashel and Cahir Castle with Lunch

Renowned for its rich pasturelands, Tipperary boasts the best of Irish dairy products on the island and was once the home to Ireland's High Kings. As you approach the town of Cashel, an impressive pre-Christian settlement, its legendary "Rock" bursts from the landscape with the Cathedral of St. Patrick at its summit. A visit will be made to the Rock of Cashel. Walk through the 15th century Vicars Chorus Hall which once housed chorus members. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Then, set out to discover Cahir Castle, a medieval fortress built in the middle of the Suir River.
