Destination Highlight: Alaska Sled Dogs and Musher's Camp

Experience a true Alaskan adventure while partaking in the official state sport. Take a sled ride through the lush rainforest, play with husky puppies, and learn about this unique element of Alaska’s culture. You’ll join in the summer training of an expert team of sled dogs when you ride a custom-designed wheeled summertime sled. Then a dog handler will share knowledge about the equipment, dog care, training, and efforts required by this sport. You’ll also get a chance to enjoy the scenery that lured you to Alaska as you walk across a suspension bridge overlooking Fish Creek. Finally, cuddle up and help socialize the adorable little huskies.
