Hop on a ferry that leaves from Circular Quay and quickly zips across Sydney Harbor to arrive at the famous Taronga Zoo, home to over 4,000 animals including kangaroos, echidnas, wallabies, koalas, and several Australian birds. On your arrival, you'll first enjoy a one-hour walkabout through the zoo with an expert guide. Learn about Australia's unique wildlife and discover the Platypus Pools, where Taronga has replicated the Blue Mountains sandstone gorge, where you will see over 40 species of Australian wildlife. You'll then have free time to roam the zoo on your own. In addition to the over 350 animal species that are housed in the zoo, you'll want to check out the Wollemi pine tree, often referred to as the "dinosaur tree," as it is one of the oldest and rarest living trees species. You'll also have the option to ride the Sky Safari, Sydney's only aerial cable car ride, that's located in the Zoo. Watch from above as the animals play and take in the spectacular views of Sydney Harbor. Stop at the gift shop before meeting at the ferry for the ride back to the pier.
