Travel to one of the most remote destinations in the Falklands Islands, where nature is still in charge and wildlife outnumbers guests 600 to one. Begin with a one-hour drive in 4x4 vehicles on the islands' main road network, winding through the rugged landscape, admiring unique geological stone runs and a picturesque mountain range. The real adventure begins off-road as you travel through Port Louis, the first land ever farmed in the islands. Then arrive at secluded and scenic Seal Bay, home to the largest Rockhopper colony in the Falkland Islands. The friendly and highly entertaining birds can be seen in the thousands, of which a small number are Macaroni & Magellanic Penguins. Then it's on to Swan Pond where guests will enjoy a packed sandwich lunch and have time to stroll along the nearby white-sand beach. On the return to Stanley, guests will visit the Gentoo Colony, nestled inland away from the coastal winds, where a King Penguin can often be found among the Gentoos. Depending on the time of year (and with a little luck) guests will have seen five species of penguin by the time they leave the Gentoo colony and return to Stanley.
