Start your journey with a visit to one of Greece’s most famous wineries, Oenogenesis Winery, a large 4,000 sq m castle-house, inspired architecturally by the Old Macedonian Mansions. The underground cellars of the estate are home to more than 800, 225 litre french oak barrels. In here, under ideal conditions of temperature and humidity, age all their red wines and some selected whites, acquiring that special character gained by the “touch” of the wood. Some of them will remain, after bottling, in special for further ageing, until they reach the peak of their maturity. During your visit you will tour the facilities of the Winery and the Distillery, get to learn about the vinification process and taste representative products.
