Experience the beauty of mystical Langkawi with its centuries-old rainforest, interesting geological formations and deep blue Andaman Sea. The island has a cluster of 99 islands separated from mainland Malaysia by the Strait of Malacca. Two-thirds of the island is dominated by forest-covered mountains, hills, and natural vegetation. Your tour begins as you board your land vehicle to your departure point in Kilim Marine Park. En route, you'll witness Langkawi's dramatic coastline with its isolated bay and islets. Upon arriving, you'll receive basic instruction and a safety briefing, and set out on a leisurely paddle through this ecosystem of tidal mangroves, lagoons and isolated islands. Paddle along the mangrove coastline and get close-up to the ecology of the mangroves while gliding with your kayak through the mangrove jungle away from the larger rivers. Enjoy the scenic and spectacular views of unique limestone rock formations emerging from the floor of the mangrove swamps and the sea. The sprawling 39-square mile park features a beautiful mélange of protected green mangrove forests, isolated white beaches and blue lagoons. With your guide, you'll explore the Bat Cave and keep watch for wildlife sightings (cannot be guaranteed). Your tour concludes with a return cruise to the departure point, and a relaxing drive back to the port.
