Destination Highlight: Alaska Raptor Center and Cultural Discovery

Explore the historical highlights and heritage of Sitka on a unique, fully-narrated sightseeing journey that includes a tour through the Alaska Raptor Center and a dance presentation. Your day begins with a scenic motor coach ride along Sitka's picturesque roadways en route to the Alaska Raptor Center, a wonderful sanctuary for bald eagles. Tour the facility and learn about the efforts of the aviation care professionals and volunteers, including how they rescue the birds of prey and provide them with rehabilitative care to hopefully release them back into the wild. After your introduction to the center,followed by free time view the flight center, clinic window, outside deck habitat areas, and gift shop. Your next stop will be where you'll be treated to a special performance by the Alaska Story Tellers and watch Alaska's heritage come alive through narration, music, song, and dance. The rest of the day is yours to spend at leisure by ending in downtown where you can continue to visit iconic Sitka sights, then return to pier by free shuttle.
